IPIC offers tutorial sessions in preparation for the Patent Agents' Examination. Candidates should be planning to sit for at least one paper
of the 2012 Exam. Limited enrolment

Winner of both the Marie F. Morency Memorial Prize and the J. Edward Maybee Memorial Prize, for having achieved respectively the highest mark in Paper A and the highest mark overall in the 2010 Patent Agent's Examination.

Tutorial Exercises and Sessions
Exercises will be forwarded to candidates in early January. Candidates
will be required to submit answers to the tutorial exercises by January 30.
The exercises will be discussed in four half-day sessions on February 27 & 28, 2012.
Note: The review of answers received after the due date will be at the tutor's
discretion.
Tour of the Patent Office
Students are invited to take part in a tour of the Patent Office on Wednesday, February 29, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to
learn more about patent prosecution and meet with patent
examiners.

Law Society of Upper Canada
Participation in the Tutorials can be applied towards the annual substantive hours requirement for ongoing members for a total of 12 hours. Please note that the Tutorials are not accredited for the New Member Requirement.
Law Society of British Columbia
The Tutorials are approved for 12 hours towards the professional development requirement for certification.
Law Society of Saskatchewan
Accreditation is pending with the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
Barreau du Québec
An application for accreditation will be submitted to the Barreau upon request. Please e-mail your request to education@ipic.ca
Cancellation Policy
A refund will be granted up to and including December 16, 2011, less a $50 cancellation fee.
The tutorials are not restricted to IPIC members but should it become necessary to restrict the number of candidates,
preference will be given to IPIC members.
