CIPO's Proposal to Amend the Trade-marks Act

CIPO is holding a consultation on a proposal to amend the Trade-marks Act with a deadline of March 15, 2010.

The Trade-mark Legislation Committee, the JLC Trade-marks and the International Trade-mark Issues Committee are working on IPIC’s submission. While you can always write directly to CIPO, if you would like to send a comment for consideration by the IPIC committees, please write to consultations@ipic.ca by February 7, 2010. You can provide responses to the questions raised in CIPO’s consultation paper and/or suggest other issues that should be addressed in amendments to the Trade-marks Act.
