Our growing Montreal office is looking to add a qualified Canadian Patent Agent and a Patent Agent Trainee to our Electrical & Mechanical Patent practice group. In this role, you will work closely with world-class leaders in IP helping our team create business value by managing, protecting and leveraging our clients’ IP assets. The right candidate will find many opportunities to learn and grow within our firm, while working towards becoming a qualified patent agent.   

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
  • A registered Canadian Patent Agent (not required for trainee)

It would be an asset, but not essential, to have:

  • Patent or Intellectual Property experience in a law firm
  • a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) or other business degree, or business experience
  • an LLB

  • is interested in becoming a strategic advisor
