Whether in court or before administrative tribunals like the Trademarks Opposition Board, the outcome of a case will be determined by the evidence.  This webinar will address basic principles of evidence, together with practice tips on preparing and presenting evidence to both courts and tribunals. This webinar will help participants learn how to:

  • Identify relevant and admissible evidence;
  • Distinguish between different types of evidence that can be used in different kinds of proceedings;
  • Recognize important differences between fact and expert evidence;
  • Recognize important differences between evidence presented in applications and actions; and
  • Address evidentiary issues that particularly relate to tribunals.
