Brought to you by the IPIC Young Practitioners Committee

Today’s business environment is increasingly multinational. A growing number of Canadian businesses have operations in, or are contemplating expansion into, the United States. As such, for legal practitioners, it is becoming more and more valuable to be able to inform clients regarding cross-border issues.

In this webinar, the U.S. court system will be introduced and compared to the Canadian system. Important differences between U.S. and Canadian litigation practice and procedure will be identified and discussed. Focus will also be placed on cross-border enforcement of IP rights, including factors that Canadian clients should consider when operating in the United States.
